In today’s rapidly changing digital economy, partnerships that drive inclusion and empower underrepresented regions are more important than ever. At Airtm, we believe in the power of collaboration to unlock global opportunities, which is why our partnership with Quantigo AI stands out as a key example of how technology can bridge gaps and create meaningful economic impact.

Through this partnership, we’re proud to support Quantigo AI’s mission of democratizing access to high-quality data and expanding remote work opportunities, especially in the global south. In the conversation below, Nasib Ahmed, CEO at Quantigo AI shares valuable insights on the untapped potential in these regions, the barriers that still need to be addressed, and the critical role that technology and cross-border collaboration will play in shaping the future of digital entrepreneurship.

1. Please describe you and your company’s mission, particularly in the context of global economic freedom.

Quantigo AI’s mission is to empower innovating industries with access to high-quality training data for AI models. By democratizing data annotation services, we enable businesses across the world to leverage AI for economic growth. Our commitment to a human-centric approach not only drives accurate and efficient data solutions but also creates meaningful work opportunities in underrepresented regions, by bridging a gap in the global digital economy.

2. In your view, what untapped potential exists within the global south that could reshape the world economy if fully leveraged?

The global south holds a dynamic mix of young, tech-savvy individuals and budding digital entrepreneurs eager to make an impact. Rather, it is a matter of access to opportunity that is still under question. Fully tapping into this talent can pivot these regions towards a knowledge-based economy, reducing reliance on traditional sectors. As digital infrastructure expands, this potential can fuel sustainable growth, diversify economies, and overall, establish a thriving global south within the digital ecosystem.

3. What do you believe are the most significant barriers preventing talent in the global south from fully participating in the global market?

Talent in the global south often faces hurdles like limited access to infrastructure, capital and educational resources. Regulatory obstacles and restricted technology access further impede their growth, which limits opportunities for many to participate in the global market. Addressing these barriers through policy reform, investment in tech education, and expanding internet access could unlock a wealth of talent and innovation from these regions.

4. In what ways do you see remote work transforming economic opportunities and entrepreneurship in the global south?

Remote work is revolutionizing economic prospects by breaking down geographical barriers, allowing talent in the global south to engage with international markets and gain global exposure. Quantigo AI is proud to have employed many in the global south, employing them under a remote work basis and giving them the access to opportunity and the experience they further need to advance the industry. Our return— a new level of connectivity that fosters collaboration, offers professional growth and builds bridges that enhance digital entrepreneurship. The ripple effect is profound—remote work creates an inclusive economy where diverse talent thrives.

5. How do you see the landscape of global digital entrepreneurship evolving over the next five years, and what role do you envision for companies like yours and AirTM in shaping this future?

Digital entrepreneurship is heading in an exciting direction, becoming more decentralized and opening up the global stage to talent from all corners. Since COVID-19, remote work has changed how we think about accessing skills and resources—barriers are coming down, and it’s easier than ever to jump into digital entrepreneurship with fewer obstacles. Companies like Quantigo AI and AirTM are helping make this happen; with tools such as seamless global payments, and various data solutions, we’re supporting entrepreneurs in ways that weren’t possible before. Thanks to AirTM, our employees can work remotely from almost any country and get paid without difficulty; this builds an amazing web of technology that just keeps feeding itself. ‘Technology feeds technology,’ and as more innovations come together, they not only strengthen each other but also create whole new ways to push the limits of what’s possible in the digital economy.

6. What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs in the global south who are looking to overcome local challenges and compete on the global stage?

Focus on creating resilient, tech-driven solutions that address local needs with a global mindset. Stay adaptable, continually learn and build networks with like-minded individuals. Embrace digital tools to broaden your reach and remember—success on the global stage comes through collaboration, persistence, and a readiness to evolve.
