What is BLEND?

BLEND is a DeFi protocol that allows you to invest in liquidity pools that generate interest through loans on the blockchain. Airtm connects with BLEND to offer you a simple and secure way to invest your funds and earn returns, without leaving the platform.

Which currencies can be invested in?

For now, you can only invest USDC. Very soon, you will be able to access other liquidity pools and compatible currencies, such as EUR. All investments are made in pools with variable returns, but these are visible before you invest.

How long will my money be frozen?

There is no minimum term. Once you invest, you can withdraw your investment at any time. However, please note that there may be slight delays in withdrawal, depending on the liquidity availability of the pool.

When will I receive my earnings?

The revaluation of your investment is continuous. This means that from the moment you invest, you begin to generate returns that are reflected in the value of your position.
When you decide to withdraw, you will be credited with the capital invested plus the profits accumulated up to that point.

Can I invest multiple times?

Yes. You can make as many investments as you want. There is no limit on the number of trades, but daily and monthly volume limits apply depending on your verification level.

What are the risks?

Blend works with smart contracts, which are a set of programmed instructions.

If a hacker exploits a vulnerability in the contract, this can lead to financial losses. To prevent this, these contracts are audited by third-party experts in smart contract security. Blend has already undergone multiple audits. We recommend that you review the latest audits at https://docs.blend.capital/audits-and-bug-bounties.

The Blend protocol depends on a component called the “oracle,” which is the mechanism for setting prices based on supply and demand. If the oracle fails and prices are not “correct,” there is a risk of losses. Oracles are also subject to audits, similar to smart contracts.

As with any crypto asset, there is the possibility of volatility. This risk is not directly associated with BLEND or the contract, but it is inherent to your investment, as even USDC could vary from its underlying asset, the USD.
