Information We Collect Through Use of Our Services

When you use our Services, we may collect information about you in the following general categories:

Identity Information: When you create an account or use Airtm Services, we, or our vendors acting on our behalf may collect the following types of information to meet our legal obligations: your name, date of birth, social security number, driver number ID, personal ID, address, phone, email, full bank account details and/or credit card numbers that you link to your Airtm account or input when you use Airtm Services. We may also collect biometric data to verify the authenticity of your identity documents. Airtm will use this information to fulfill your requests and provide the relevant Services.

Location Information: If you permit the Airtm app to access location services through the permission system used by your mobile operating system (“platform”), we may collect the precise location of your device when the app is running in the foreground or background. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP address.

Contacts Information: If you permit the Airtm app to access the address book on your device through the permission system used by your mobile platform, we may access and store names and contact information from your address book to facilitate social interactions through our Services and for other purposes described in this Statement or at the time of consent or collection.

Transaction Information: We collect transaction details related to your use of our Services, including the type of service requested, date and time the service was provided, amount charged, and other related transaction details.

Usage and Preference Information: We collect information about how you and site visitors interact with our Services, preferences expressed, and settings chosen. In some cases we do this through the use of cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers. Important Information about Platform Permissions

Most mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have defined certain types of device data that apps cannot access without your consent. And these platforms have different permission systems for obtaining your consent. The iOS platform will alert you the first time the Airtm app wants permission to access certain types of data and will let you consent (or not consent) to that request. Android devices will notify you of the permissions that the Airtm app seeks before you first use the app, and your use of the app constitutes your consent.

Information We Collect from Other Sources

We may also receive information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through our Services. For example, when you request Services, other Members may provide us with a User rating after conducting a Peer to Peer transaction with you. We may also receive data from third parties about you. This may include technical data from analytics and advertising partners like Google, from public databases, credit bureaus, ID verification partners, resellers and channel partners, joint marketing partners, and social media platforms. ID verification partners use a combination of government records and publicly available information about you to verify your identity. Such information includes your name, address, job role, public employment profile, credit history, status on any sanctions lists maintained by public authorities, and other relevant data. We obtain such information to comply with our legal obligations, such as anti-money laundering laws.


Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a legally permitted, secure, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Sharing of Information

We take care to allow your personal information to be accessed only by those who really need to in order to perform their tasks and duties, and to share with third parties who have a legitimate purpose for accessing it. Airtm will never sell or rent your personal information. We may share the information we collect about you as described in this Privacy Policy or as described at the time of collection or sharing, including as follows:

We share your information with third party identity verification services in order to comply with compliance related obligations and prevent fraud. This allows Airtm to confirm your identity by comparing the information you provide us to public records and other third party databases. These service providers may create derivative data based on your personal information that can be used solely in connection with provision of identity verification and fraud prevention services.

We share your information with Onfido Limited ("Onfido") to verify your identity and to perform required regulatory screenings. Airtm shares your information with Onfido in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Information shared with Onfido is treated by Onfido in accordance with its Facial Scan Policy and Release, available at https://onfido.com/facial-scan-policy-and-release/, its Privacy Policy, available at https://onfido.com/us/privacy/ and its Terms of Service, available at https://onfido.com/terms-of-service/.

We share your information with Kount Inc. ("Kount") to perform transaction monitoring and screening for fraud prevention. Airtm only shares your information with Kount in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Information shared with Kount is treated by Kount in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at https://www.kount.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We share your information with Leanplum Inc. ("Leanplum", https://api.leanplum.com) to delvier email, mobile and in-app notificaitons. Airtm only shares your information with Leanplum in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Information shared with Leanplum is treated by Leanplum in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at https://www.leanplum.com/privacy.

With another Member to enable them to perform a requested peer to peer transaction;

With the general public if you submit content in a public forum, such as blog comments, social media posts, or other features of our Services that are viewable by the general public or other Members;

With third parties with whom you choose to let us share information, for example other apps or websites that integrate with our API or Services, or those with an API or Service with which we integrate;

With Airtm subsidiaries and affiliated entities that provide services or conduct data processing on our behalf, or for data centralization and / or logistics purposes;

With vendors, consultants, marketing partners, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf;

If we otherwise notify you and you consent to the sharing; and

In an aggregated and/or anonymized form which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.


We have implemented security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. We use network safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, enforce physical access controls, and authorize access to personal information only for those people who require access to fulfill their job responsibilities.
